Headline Pictures co-developed and co-produced one of Amazon's most watched dramas THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, produced the International EMMY-winning Peter Pan adaptation PETER & WENDY for ITV, the global box office hit QUARTET directed by Dustin Hoffman and starring Dame Maggie Smith (Golden Globe-nominated for her performance), Michael Gambon, Billy Connolly, Tom Courtenay and Pauline Collins, written by Oscar-winner Sir Ronald Harwood (THE PIANIST); the Charles Dickens biopic THE INVISIBLE WOMAN directed by Ralph Fiennes and written by EMMY and BAFTA-winner Abi Morgan (SHAME, THE IRON LADY, SUFFRAGETTE), and co-produced the Prix Italia-winning WWII thriller series THE SABOTEURS broadcast on NRK, More4 and across Europe, and Stephen King adaptation BAG OF BONES starring Pierce Brosnan. Current projects in development include a remake of the hit French series CALL MY AGENT, adapted by BAFTA-winner John Morton (TWENTY TWELVE, W1A).

Headline Pictures was founded in 2005 by BAFTA nominee and International EMMY-winning producer Stewart Mackinnon, former BBC Head of Drama Mark Shivas, screenwriter Kevin Hood (BECOMING JANE, A ROYAL NIGHT OUT), former producer and project manager Derek Stubbs, and former lawyer Adrian Gifford. Stewart Mackinnon was CEO until Spring 2019. Adrian Gifford remains as Chairman, and Derek Stubbs remains as Company Secretary.

Headline Pictures is part of the UGC SERIES group. The UGC theatrical network ranks second in French-speaking Europe and its subsidiary UGC Images is a major French movie production and distribution company. UGC SERIES consolidates four television production companies in Britain and France, creating series for both the domestic and international market.
